WHAT STYLE/TECHNIQUE DO YOU TEACH?

I have attended many different classes and studied others. I am personally a big fan of MEISNER and am a master level Meisner Trained actor. HOWEVER, what I teach is not dependent on any one style. Preparation and believability are achieved no matter what your favorite “style”

IF YOU DON’T FOCUS ON ANY ONE STYLE—WHAT DO YOU FOCUS ON?

I focus on a unique look at IMAGINATION and PROPER PREPARATION which leads to BELIEVABILITY. It doesn’t matter what “style” you love—you MUST know how to PREPARE which leads to BELIEVABILITY. Many actors struggle with this very basic and necessary step. This is what gets you cast.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT YOUR TEACHING?

The traditional classroom format is designed to “drag on” over time and keep you coming back. Not here. My students have specific desires (auditions, character dev. Script analysis, confidence building, etc. without long term commitment. I have a unique perspective on the acting “process”, I believe it is simpler than many profess it to be without all the “intellectual” gobbly-gook and vague theories which often serve as barriers. I also have an “eye” to pick up things others may miss—things that propel you forward more quickly. I am honest, clear and compassionate. I will never allow you to “look bad”!

I’VE BEEN TO SOME CLASSES WHERE THE TEACHER RAMBLES ON AND ON. DO YOU?

Me too! They “sell” you on the fact their sessions go on for hours—when so much of that time is filled with stories or rants. My actors want to learn and work—and do it now. No long lectures, platitudes or vague “notes”. You perform. Acting is not an intellectual exercise. In addition, I am a Nationally Recognized Performance Coach to pro athletes and business and teach those insights others do not.

HOW DO YOU WORK WITH STUDENTS?

My students are all over the world AND local. We work on the phone (when no performance needed) or on skype with great effectiveness. Sessions can be private, semi-private or even small group. You perform—get notes—run it again. Speed of improvement is faster this way. If students are local—we can meet face to face either individually or in a small group (3 to 6)

CAN YOU REALLY HELP AN ACTOR ON SKYPE OR THE PHONE?

Absolutely. Learning how to prepare is based on a series of my proprietary “Breslow

Investigative Technique©” that helps you understand your script or monologue as well as the character in a way that will surprise you. This can be done via phone, fb messenger or skype.

Performances/scenes can effectively be done via skype.

CAN I AUDIT?

If I have a live small group—yes. OR you might audit a Skype group if I have one running at that time.

HOW DO YOU GET NEW STUDENTS?

Word of mouth. I do not boast or promote like typical classes might. I don’t need to.

WHAT KINDS OF STUDENTS DO YOU TEACH?

Theater, Film and Writers too. This unique format is for anyone who wants to elevate their “game” and desire to speed up their results–for auditions, developing characters when cast, writing scripts, business meetings. etc. Beginners who don’t audition or have any foundation should seek a local group class first.

DO YOU HELP WITH REELS?

Yes, I will help you create the best reel for you and write short scenes that highlight your strengths as well. At this time, I don’t SHOOT reels but help many actors put together their reels so they look their best.

WHAT IS YOUR FEE?

This depends on the format. Private, semi-private, group, etc. There are no long-term obligations either way. My rates are reasonable in any category. Note: All fees are paid UP FRONT. I’m not in the “collection” business. LOL
